Maximize Your Paycheck !!!

Keep more of what you earn!

With an ABS Flexible Spending Account (FSA), you contribute pre-tax dollars from your paycheck to pay for eligible healthcare or dependent care expenses. Since those contributions are made before most taxes are calculated, you reduce your taxable income and increase your take-home pay.

1. Anticipate

Carefully plan for next year’s out-of-pocket health, dependent care, parking and transit expenses.

Estimate your annual medical expenses prior to enrolling in a flexible spending plan. Take a look at this year’s health expenses, especially prescriptions, to estimate health expenses for the upcoming year. You can include unreimbursed expenses for spouse and dependents! Don’t forget day-care and qualified eldercare expenses also qualify for these tax-advantaged plans

Remember, you will not get your unused account funds back if you do not spend them in your plan year so… anticipate future expenses carefully.

Tip: Try to anticipate regular, predictable expenses like office and prescription co-pays and dependent care expenses. Ask your drug store Pharmacist to run a total of your prescription medicine purchases for the year.

2. Deduct

Complete your enrollment through your employer’s enrollment process and elect the amount you’d like to contribute.

Your annual election will be divided evenly across your paychecks and deducted on a pre-tax basis, reducing your taxable income. The funds are deposited into your benefit account(s) and can be used for eligible out-of-pocket healthcare, dependent care, parking, and transit expenses, depending on the plans you elect.

3. Getting reimbursed is easy

Pay for eligible expenses using your ABS Benefits Debit Card (if available under your plan) or submit a reimbursement request through the ABS Mobile App, Consumer Portal, or at claims.abs125.com.

Reimbursements can be sent by:

Direct Deposit (Free)

Venmo, PayPal, or Direct to Debit ($1.25 per transaction)

Check ($2.00 per claim)

Choose the reimbursement option that works best for you and receive your eligible funds quickly and securely.

How to Enroll

Just follow these simple steps:

  1. Estimate your eligible expenses for the upcoming plan year.
  2. Complete your benefit elections using your employer’s enrollment process.
  3. Submit your elections by your employer’s deadline.
